An offset ring spanner with VDE insulation designed for work on live electrical installations up to 1000V AC. Made from CrV chrome vanadium steel with a multi-component handle providing protection against electric shock.
Multi-layer insulation compliant with the EN 60900 standard protects against electric shock when working on electrical installations up to 1000 volts AC. The micro-textured outer layer prevents slipping even with damp hands, giving full control of the tool when fitting and removing live components.
The CrV material is characterised by increased hardness and wear resistance compared with standard tool steels. The addition of chromium and vanadium improves the mechanical properties of the spanner, minimising the risk of deformation during prolonged use and ensuring a precise fit on nuts and bolts.
The offset angle of the ring allows work in confined spaces where standard straight spanners do not provide sufficient access. This design makes it possible to tighten and loosen fasteners efficiently in distribution boards, at motor terminals and in other hard-to-reach parts of electrical installations.
The multi-component handle construction combines a hard load-bearing layer with a soft outer layer, reducing hand fatigue during many hours of work. The handle profile, shaped to suit the anatomy of the hand, ensures an optimal distribution of pressure, which translates into greater torque with less effort.

The EN 60900 standard sets out the requirements for insulated hand tools intended for live working. VDE certification confirms that the insulation withstands a test voltage of 10000V AC for 3 minutes, which guarantees safety at working voltages up to 1000V AC. Every tool undergoes individual electrical testing before being released for sale.
Check the condition of the insulation before every use – any cracks, scratches or mechanical damage rule the tool out for live working. The VDE insulated ring spanner must be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources above 70°C and from chemical substances that could damage the insulating layer.
Clean the insulation surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use organic solvents, petrol or abrasive agents. After working in damp conditions, dry the tool before putting it away.
The spanner is intended solely for tightening and loosening fasteners – it must not be used as a lever, hammer or chisel. Exceeding the permissible torque may cause permanent deformation of the working head.
