A slotted screwdriver with 1000 V insulation and a slim shank, designed for electrical work in confined spaces. The S2 steel tip delivers durability, while the slim profile makes it easier to reach deeply recessed screws and components in hard-to-access places.
The slim shank with closely fitting insulation allows work in narrow back boxes, distribution boards and between densely packed cables. Certified 1000 V protection guards against electric shock during live working, in accordance with the standards for electrical tools.
S2 tool steel reaches a hardness of 58–62 HRC after hardening, which prevents wear and deformation of the tip. The material holds its shape even under intensive use, eliminating the risk of slipping out of the screw head and damaging the fastening.
The two-component design combines a rigid polypropylene core with a non-slip TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) outer layer. It provides a secure grip even in damp conditions and reduces hand fatigue during repetitive assembly work.
The 5.5 mm tip width matches standard screws in electrical installations and electronics. The 125 mm shank length lets you reach components inside deep enclosures without dismantling additional parts.

Insulated screwdrivers rated to 1000 V must meet the requirements of IEC 60900, which sets out the insulation and marking parameters for tools used on live circuits. The insulation protects against transient overvoltages and ensures safety when working on installations up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC. Check the condition of the insulation before every use — cracks or damage rule the tool out for live working.
Before starting work, check the insulation along the full length of the shank — any cracks, cuts or chips rule out safe live working. The insulated screwdriver must be stored in dry conditions, away from heat sources and chemicals that could degrade the insulating material.
During use, avoid excessive sideways pressure, which can snap the tip or damage it. Once the work is finished, clean contamination from the shank and check the condition of the tip — rounded or damaged edges should be ground back or the tool replaced.
The tip width should fill at least 75% of the screw slot length. A tip that is too narrow concentrates stress at a single point and can damage both the screw and the tool. The 5.5 mm tip suits M4–M5 screws and standard screw terminals in electrical installation equipment.
