VDE-certified insulated socket designed for work on live electrical installations up to 1000V AC. Made from chrome vanadium steel with professional insulation compliant with EN 60900.
Insulation compliant with EN 60900 provides protection against electric shock when working on electrical installations with AC voltage up to 1000 volts. The VDE certificate confirms that the tool has passed dielectric and mechanical testing.
The socket core is made from CrV steel, which offers increased hardness and resistance to twisting. The chromium-vanadium alloy ensures a long service life without deformation, even under high torque loads.
The internal 6-point profile measuring 12 mm fits M8 metric nuts and bolt heads. The 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) drive allows the socket to be fitted to standard ratchets and torque wrenches.
The insulating layer is made from a material with an increased coefficient of friction, preventing the tool from slipping out of the hand during work in difficult conditions, including contact with oil or moisture.

The socket is compatible with all 1/2" ratchets, extension bars and torque wrenches. The 12 mm size corresponds to M8 metric bolts and nuts. Before starting work, check that the tool's torque does not exceed the strength of the bolted joint.
EN 60900 specifies the requirements for hand tools used for live working. VDE sockets undergo dielectric testing at 10,000V for 3 minutes and are then marked with a maximum working voltage of 1000V AC or 1500V DC.
Before each use, check the insulation for cracks, scratches and mechanical damage. Damaged insulation disqualifies the tool from live working. VDE sockets should be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources and chemicals that could degrade the insulating material.
A maximum working voltage of 1000V AC means that the tool can be used on 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase installations. Insulated sockets must not be used at voltages exceeding the rated value, or on DC installations with a voltage higher than 1500V DC.
After use, clean the socket of dirt with a dry cloth. Do not use organic solvents, petrol or acetone, as these may damage the insulating layer. If the tool comes into contact with chemicals, rinse it with water and dry it thoroughly.
