Insulated Work Boots OB E FO SRC – Size 41
Insulated occupational footwear in category OB, made from cowhide leather and designed for work in low temperatures. Fitted with a slip-resistant polyurethane sole that is resistant to chemicals, plus a heel energy absorption system.
Technical features
SRC marking – slip resistance
The SRC rating confirms grip on two types of surface: ceramic with detergent (SRA) and steel with glycerine (SRB). The parameter specifies a coefficient of friction above 0.28 for the heel and 0.32 for the whole sole, which ensures stability on wet and greasy surfaces.
E marking – heel energy absorption
The energy-absorbing system in the heel area reduces strain when walking on hard surfaces. The design absorbs a minimum of 20 joules of impact energy, which reduces foot fatigue and strain on the joints during long working hours.
FO marking – chemical resistance of the sole
The polyurethane sole is resistant to contact with mineral oils, petrol and organic solvents. This parameter is verified by an immersion test, after which the sole must show no cracking or splitting and no increase in volume of more than 12%.
Insulation – working in low temperatures
The insulated lining provides thermal insulation, making it possible to work in cold storage areas, unheated production halls and outdoors in autumn and winter. The leather upper also provides protection against the wind.

Choosing the right size
Measure the length of your foot from the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Add 0.5–1 cm of allowance to the result. For size 41 the insole length is 27 cm, which corresponds to a foot approximately 26–26.5 cm long. With insulated footwear it is worth allowing for a thicker sock.
Category OB – scope of protection
Category OB in standard EN ISO 20347 denotes occupational footwear without a protective toe cap. It meets the basic requirements for construction, materials and ergonomics, but does not protect the toes against mechanical injury. It is intended for working environments where there is no risk of crushing or impact in the forefoot area.
The additional E, FO and SRC markings extend the scope of protection to include energy absorption, chemical resistance of the sole and slip resistance, which makes these boots a versatile solution for technical and maintenance work in cold conditions.
Use and care
The leather upper requires regular care with products intended for natural leather, particularly after contact with moisture. Before first use, the boots should be treated with a water-repellent product. After work, remove dirt with a soft brush and leave the boots to dry at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
The polyurethane sole retains its slip-resistant properties throughout its service life, but the condition of the tread should be checked regularly. Wear of more than 50% of the groove depth reduces grip on slippery surfaces.
