A specialist plastic hole saw designed for cutting installation holes in thermal insulation materials. It allows precise cutting of recesses for mechanical fixings in building insulation systems.
The durable polymer body provides long-lasting performance under regular use. The material does not react with insulation materials and does not cause them mechanical damage during cutting.
The size is matched to standard mechanical fixings used in ETICS systems. It allows a precise hole to be cut with minimal clearance for the polystyrene plug.
The tool's shank fits the chucks of standard drills and drivers. No specialist adapters are required – standard building equipment can be used.
Designed for use with low-density materials – EPS and XPS polystyrene and mineral wool. It minimises the risk of thermal bridges forming at fixing points.

| Intended use | Polystyrene, mineral wool |
Before starting, fit the hole saw in the chuck of a drill or driver. Make sure the tool's shank is seated securely – any play can lead to an irregular cut. Set a low speed (300-500 rpm) – thermal insulation materials do not require high rotational speeds.
Hold the hole saw perpendicular to the insulation surface and start drilling with light pressure. Excessive force can tear the material. With mineral wool, drill in one continuous movement to avoid delaminating the fibres. Once the hole is cut, remove any material remnants from inside the hole saw.
After use, clean the hole saw of any polystyrene or wool residue. Check the condition of the cutting edges – damage can lead to an uneven cut. Store in a dry place, protected from mechanical impact. The plastic is moisture-resistant but can be damaged if dropped from a height.
