Internal straight circlip pliers 160 mm GEKO G01696
A tool designed for fitting and removing circlips seated inside bores. The straight design with a slim tip profile allows work on circlips in confined spaces, including inside brake calipers.

Slim working tips
The tip profile is designed for work with small circlips and in areas with limited access. It allows circlips to be fitted in deep bores and narrow recesses where standard tools cannot be used.
Chrome vanadium steel (Cr-V)
An alloy that provides resistance to mechanical wear and deformation under repeated use. Cr-V steel is characterised by increased hardness and flexibility, which translates into a longer tool life when working with circlips of varying thickness.
Ergonomic handles with non-slip coating

The difference between internal and external circlip pliers
Internal circlip pliers (such as model G01696) are used for circlips seated inside bores – when the handles are squeezed, the tips spread outwards. External pliers work the other way round: when the handles are squeezed, the tips move towards each other, which compresses a circlip fitted on a shaft or spindle. Before buying, check whether the circlip sits in a bore (internal) or on a shaft (external).
Use and maintenance
Before use, check the condition of the working tips – damaged or bent ends may damage the circlip or slip out during fitting. During work, insert the plier tips into the holes in the circlip and then squeeze the handles, which opens the circlip and allows it to be removed from its groove.
After use, clean the tips of any contamination and protect the spring mechanism against corrosion by applying a light coating of oil. Storing the tool in a dry place extends its service life. Avoid opening the pliers beyond their working range – this may weaken the spring or damage the mechanism.
