The KD10589 is a dual-function measuring instrument for testing both pressure and vacuum in the systems of combustion-engined vehicles. Designed for diagnostic work on cars and motorcycles, it is used with fuel systems, braking systems and carburettor systems as well as inlet manifolds.
The gauge reads both pressure (0–10 PSI / 0–0.7 kg/cm²) and vacuum (0–28 inHg / 0–70 cmHg) on a single dial. This allows a complete fuel system test to be carried out without swapping instruments — from checking the pressure delivered by the pump to verifying the tightness of the vacuum system.
A gauge resolution of 0.05 bar makes it possible to detect small deviations from specification, such as a slight drop in pressure indicating a leaking injector or a worn fuel pump. In braking system diagnostics, this accuracy matters when assessing the condition of the servo assistance.
The supplied 0.6 m hose provides a comfortable reach when connecting to test points in the engine bay. The set of adapters and extension hoses extends compatibility with the various types of connection found on cars and motorcycles.
The instrument is intended for use with petrol engines fitted with carburettors or injection systems. The 0–10 PSI pressure range matches the typical operating pressures of mechanical fuel pumps used on older carburettor engines.

The 0–10 PSI pressure range (approx. 0–0.69 bar) matches the typical operating pressures of mechanical fuel pumps on carburettor engines.
