KD5944 Snow Chains – KRAFT&DELE
The KD5944 is a metal snow chain designed for use in demanding winter conditions. It delivers increased traction on snow, ice and mud, and is fitted directly to the wheel in place, with no need to remove it or move the vehicle.
Product features
Fitting without removing the wheel
The chains are fitted directly onto the wheel in place, with no jack required and no need to reverse or move the vehicle. This keeps preparation time for driving in demanding conditions to a minimum.
Wide compatibility
The design fits tyres from 195 to 255 mm wide, covering most popular sizes used on passenger cars and SUVs. Check the tyre marking before purchase — the first number in a format such as 205/55 R16 is the width in millimetres.
Metal anti-slip elements
The metal links bite into the surface of snow and ice, mechanically increasing traction. The metal also provides resistance to wear over repeated use.
Compact storage
The set comes with a carry bag that reduces the space taken up in the boot. Stored in the bag, the chains stay ready for use and do not dirty the load area.

How to check tyre compatibility
The tyre width is shown on the sidewall — the marking is in a format such as 215/60 R17, where the first number (215) is the width in millimetres. KD5944 chains fit tyres from 195 to 255 mm wide. If in doubt, check with the vehicle manufacturer whether snow chains are approved for the model.
Use and maintenance
After fitting the chains, drive a few dozen metres, then recheck and retighten the tension. Snow chains are intended solely for driving on surfaces covered with snow or ice — using them on dry asphalt accelerates link wear and can damage the road surface. After the winter season, wash the chains, dry them and store them in the carry bag in a dry place, which prevents corrosion and extends the service life of the product.
