Knurled nails for fixing into concrete, brick and other building materials. The set contains 106 pieces in two sizes, supplied in a practical labelled case.
The distinctive cuts on the shank increase the contact area with the material, which prevents the nail from working loose under load. The knurling locks the nail in the hole mechanically by biting into the structure of the concrete or brick.
The set contains 66 nails of 3.5×50 mm for lighter applications and 40 nails of 3.5×70 mm for fixings requiring greater anchoring depth. The 3.5 mm diameter is a compromise between strength and the ability to drive the nail in without an excessive risk of cracking the base material.
Steel nails provide sufficient hardness to penetrate hard materials and resist bending during driving. The steel shank does not deflect on contact with aggregate in the concrete.
The case with compartments and size labels makes sorting easy and gives quick access to the right nail size while working. The clear labelling removes the need to measure nails on site.

Knurled nails work well in concrete up to class C20/25 and in solid brick and clay blocks. In high-strength concrete (above C30/37) and reinforced concrete, pilot holes should be drilled. Do not use in brittle materials such as aerated concrete without testing first.
Knurled nails are driven in with a 300-500 g hammer, striking perpendicular to the surface. In harder concrete, it is advisable to drill a pilot hole with a 2.5-3 mm bit to a depth of about two-thirds of the nail length. This prevents the shank from bending and makes driving easier.
When driving the nail, avoid hitting the reinforcement – contact with steel can bend the nail. If resistance is met, it is worth moving the fixing point by a few centimetres.
The nails should be stored in a dry place in their original packaging. Moisture can cause surface corrosion, which makes driving more difficult and reduces the grip of the knurling.
