A TCT (tungsten carbide tipped) circular saw blade designed for cross-cutting and ripping softwood and hardwood, chipboard and laminated lignofol. Its 450 mm diameter and 24 teeth make it suitable for use with table saws and panel saws.
The cutting teeth are tipped with tungsten carbide — a material considerably harder than steel. This translates into a longer blade life and consistent cutting geometry over many hours of work without the need for sharpening.
The blade is made from steel resistant to heat build-up and deformation. The body is 3 mm thick, which provides rigidity during use and minimises the risk of blade runout under heavier loads.
A tooth count of 24T is a compromise between output and the quality of the cut surface. Blades with fewer teeth cut faster and require less saw power, while still leaving a smoother finish than ripping blades. They are used where speed of work matters while an acceptable edge quality is maintained.
Additional reducing rings are supplied to allow the blade to be fitted to arbors with diameters other than 32 mm. Before purchase, check the diameter of your saw's arbor and make sure the matching reducing ring is included.

Before fitting, check three parameters of your saw: the maximum blade diameter (must be at least 450 mm), the arbor diameter (32 mm or one supported by the supplied reducing rings), and the maximum permitted speed — it must not exceed the 3300 rpm marked on the blade. Exceeding this limit risks the blade cracking.
This blade is intended solely for use with wood and wood-based materials. It must not be used to cut metal, concrete or glass-fibre reinforced plastics. After each working session, clean resin and sawdust from the teeth — accumulated deposits increase cutting resistance and lead to accelerated tip wear.
TCT blades can be reconditioned by re-sharpening the tungsten carbide tips — a service offered by specialist tool grinding workshops. This can significantly reduce running costs compared with replacing the blade with a new one.
