The KD1457 is a pneumatic brake fluid exchange and bleeding kit designed for workshop use. The unit uses compressed air pressure to draw used fluid out of the braking system — with no need for a second person or any additional equipment. The kit contains everything required to start work straight away.
How the unit works
Vacuum-based operation
The unit generates negative pressure (60% vacuum) using compressed air from the workshop air system. The extracted brake fluid goes straight into a sealed reservoir, which eliminates contact with paintwork and other vehicle surfaces.
Single-person operation
With pneumatic power, the whole bleeding or fluid exchange process can be carried out by one person. There is no need for an assistant to pump the brake pedal — the vacuum generated by the unit does the work.
1/4" connector and broad compatibility
The standard 1/4" male connector fits the quick-release couplings typically used on workshop compressed air systems. The four adaptors supplied allow the kit to be matched to the different types of bleed nipple found on cars and vans.
Reservoir with filter and drain valve
The collected fluid goes into a 0.75 l reservoir fitted with a filter that traps contaminants and a drain valve that makes emptying easier. The filter protects the mechanism from damage by solid particles present in used fluid.

Compressed air system requirements
Correct operation of the unit requires compressed air at 6–12 bar and sufficient compressor output to deliver an air flow of at least 180 l/min. Make sure the workshop air system meets these parameters before connecting the kit. The 1/4" connector is the standard used on most workshop compressed air systems.
Use and maintenance
After every use, empty the collected brake fluid from the reservoir through the drain valve. Brake fluid is chemically aggressive — avoid contact with vehicle paintwork and rubber components. The filter should be checked regularly for contamination and cleaned as required. Check the hoses and connections for leaks before every use. Store the unit in a dry place, away from sources of heat.
