KD1594 Black Polishing Foam Pad — 150 mm, M14, 30 kg/m³
The KD1594 is a polishing foam pad with a density of 30 kg/m³, designed for fitting to angle polishers/sanders with an M14 thread. Of the four variants in the Kraft&Dele range, this is the hardest model, used at the initial paint correction stage — where a more aggressive cutting action is required.
Product features
30 kg/m³ density — the highest in the range
A higher foam density means a harder material that transfers pressure to the surface more effectively. The black pad is suitable for initial polishing with cutting compounds, removing sanding marks and correcting deeper paint defects.
M14 thread — the angle tool standard
The M14 fitting is compatible with the spindle of angle grinders and polishers from most manufacturers. Before fitting, make sure the machine you are using has an M14 spindle — this is a standard designation given in the tool's documentation.
150 mm diameter
The 150 mm working face delivers efficient coverage on larger flat surfaces, such as body panels, bonnets and vehicle roofs. It reduces the number of passes needed per panel compared with smaller pads.
Colour coding for hardness
In the KD range the manufacturer uses colour coding for foam density: black (30 kg/m³) is the hardest variant, yellow (25 kg/m³) and white (28 kg/m³) are the intermediate variants, and red (22 kg/m³) is the softest. The colour makes it easy to identify the pad quickly while working.

Matching pad hardness to the polishing stage
The black pad (30 kg/m³) is used at the first stage — for aggressive paint correction with a cutting compound. Subsequent finishing stages require pads of lower density (softer), which do not introduce additional micro-marring. Pad selection should always be matched to the type of polishing compound used — compound manufacturers usually state the recommended pad hardness.
