The KD1650 is a compressed-air spray gun designed for applying waterborne lacquers, acrylic paints, filler and metallic and pearl finishes. The 1.5 mm nozzle and adjustable spray pattern give you the flexibility to match the spray settings to the material and the surface being painted.
A 1.5 mm nozzle diameter is a universal size — it handles materials of varying viscosity, from thinned base coats to thicker acrylic primers. Smaller nozzles (1.0–1.2 mm) are suitable only for thin lacquers, while larger ones (1.8–2.0 mm) are meant for fillers and primers. The 1.5 mm size lets you work with a wide range of materials without having to change the nozzle.
The adjustable fan width lets you match the spray pattern to the size of the surface being painted. A narrow pattern (around 160 mm) is ideal for precise work on edges, details and small parts. A wide pattern (around 230 mm) speeds up coverage of large flat surfaces such as body panels or furniture boards.
The 1000 ml capacity means fewer interruptions to refill the cup during a job. At typical paint consumption for car refinishing (around 100–150 ml/m²), one fill is enough to cover 6–10 m². The cup is detachable, which makes cleaning and changing materials easier.
Low working pressure (2–5 psi) reduces overspray and cuts material waste. Working at low pressure gives better paint deposition on the surface and less dust in the workplace. The gun needs a compressor capable of delivering 150–200 l/min of airflow.
The KD1650 requires a compressor with an output of at least 150–200 l/min (actual airflow, not the theoretical output quoted by the manufacturer). When choosing a compressor, look at the FAD (Free Air Delivery) or actual output rather than motor power. An undersized compressor will cause the spray pattern to pulse and produce uneven coverage.

The KD1650 is designed to work with materials of different consistencies and chemical compositions. Typical applications include:
After every job, flush the gun with a suitable solvent — water for water-based paints or nitro/acrylic thinner for solvent-based finishes. Material left in the nozzle and needle passages will lead to clogging and an uneven spray pattern.
Lubricate the needle and seals regularly with spray gun oil. Before each use, check that the connections are airtight and inspect the condition of the cup seals. The 1.5 mm nozzle can be cleaned with a fine needle or dedicated spray gun cleaning kits — do not use metal objects that could scratch the nozzle orifice, as this will alter the spray pattern.
