The KD331 is a manual pipe threading kit for pipes from 3/8" to 1 1/4", designed for plumbing and workshop use. The kit contains five inch dies, a ratchet with handle and extension, and a carry case. The cast iron head keeps threading stable during repetitive assembly work.
The head and cover are made of cast iron for high rigidity in use. The material limits distortion under high torque, which translates into consistent and accurate threads.
The head has a greater number of coolant evacuation slots. Better lubrication of the cutting edges reduces friction during cutting, limits die wear and improves the surface quality of the thread.
The geometry of the die cutting edges makes centring and initial engagement easier at the start of threading. This is particularly important when working on pipes in hard-to-reach places.
The ratchet mechanism lets you work without removing the tool after every turn. The handle and extension increase the leverage, which makes threading larger diameter pipes easier.

The dies supplied with the KD331 cut BSP/G pipe threads. Before purchase, make sure the connections you plan to make require a BSP pipe thread — this is the standard commonly used in Polish water, drainage and heating installations. If you are unsure about the thread type, check existing fittings with a thread gauge or compare the thread pitch against the standard.
Always use a suitable threading oil or lubricating paste when threading — this prevents the dies from overheating and extends their service life. After work, clean the dies of swarf and residual lubricant, then store them in the supplied carry case, which protects the components from mechanical damage and moisture. Lubricate the moving parts of the ratchet periodically to keep the mechanism operating smoothly.
