A 1600W corded hammer drill designed for percussion drilling in concrete, masonry and stone, and for non-impact drilling in metal, wood, ceramic and plastic. The model comes with an auxiliary side handle and a metal gearbox housing.
The 1600W motor delivers sufficient torque for work in hard materials. An impact rate of 48,000 blows per minute (bpm) effectively breaks up the structure of concrete and masonry while drilling, which shortens the time needed to drill a hole compared with a non-impact drill.
The metal gearbox housing is more resistant to mechanical wear than plastic equivalents. This matters during intensive use and when drilling into hard materials, where considerable forces act on the drill chuck.
The main grip is covered with an anti-slip material that improves grip security during work, particularly when drilling resistance is higher or when working in awkward positions.
The side handle enables a two-handed grip, which increases control over the drilling direction and reduces fatigue during longer periods of work. This is particularly important when drilling into concrete, where resistance is considerably greater than in wood or metal.

For percussion drilling in concrete and masonry, use tungsten carbide-tipped drill bits (masonry drill bits marked with the letter "U" or the SDS symbol, depending on the chuck type). HSS drill bits are required for drilling in metal. The KD3351 drill is fitted with a standard chuck — before buying drill bits, check the maximum shank diameter the tool's chuck can accept.
