Electric Log Splitter 5T 1500W – Kraft&Dele KD5206
The KD5206 is an electric hydraulic log splitter designed for domestic and around-the-home use, operating in horizontal mode. The machine handles logs up to 52 cm long and 25 cm in diameter, and its 5-tonne splitting force makes it possible to process wood of increased hardness and grain density.

Hydraulic wedge system
The wedge splitting system works together with a hydraulic system rated at 25 MPa and an oil capacity of 4.2 l. The wedge splits the wood fibres along their natural structure, which reduces cutting resistance and limits wear on the cutting components compared with rotary splitting systems.
1500 W motor with IP54 protection
An IP54 protection rating means resistance to dust and to water splashes from any direction. This allows the log splitter to be used outdoors — when storing wood under a lean-to shelter or in an unheated garage — without the risk of damage to the electrical system.
Horizontal operating mode
The horizontal position of the hydraulic cylinder keeps the machine stable during operation and removes the need to lift heavy logs to a considerable height. It can be operated regardless of the operator's height, and the low centre of gravity reduces the risk of the unit tipping over.
Foot brake and transport wheels
The foot brake locks the machine in position at the working location without the need to use your hands, which improves safety while loading wood. The transport wheels allow the 49 kg unit to be moved across the ground without additional equipment.
Operating temperature range
The machine is designed to operate at ambient temperatures from +5°C to +40°C. Working at lower temperatures may increase the viscosity of the hydraulic oil and lengthen the splitting cycle — before starting the machine in a cold environment, a short warm-up of the system without load is recommended.

Use and maintenance
Before starting the machine for the first time, check the hydraulic oil level through the sight glass — the reservoir should be filled to the marked level. The oil needs to be changed after the number of operating hours specified by the manufacturer, or if its colour turns dark or milky (a sign of moisture ingress).
The wedge blade should be checked regularly for mechanical damage. A blunt or chipped wedge increases the load on the hydraulic system and lengthens the cycle time. It is worth protecting the steel parts of the housing with an anti-corrosion product before storing the machine in a damp environment.
After use, clean the machine of sawdust and bark, which can block the moving parts of the return mechanism. The foot brake needs to be checked periodically for effective locking — a loose mechanism should be adjusted in accordance with the operating instructions.
