A set of two Vorel lashing straps with load ratings of 2500 DAN (working load) and 5000 DAN (breaking strength). The product is designed for securing loads during road transport and house moves, and for strapping down equipment of various sizes.

The figure of 2500 DAN defines the maximum safe working load of the strap, while 5000 DAN is the theoretical breaking strength of the material. One DAN (decanewton) corresponds to approximately 100 kg, which means loads of up to 250 kg per strap can be secured safely while maintaining a 2:1 safety factor.
50 mm width and 8 metre length
The 50 mm width provides a sufficient contact surface with the load, minimising the risk of damage to the items being transported. The 8 metre length makes it possible to secure luggage of various sizes, including on car roofs, in trailers and to transport pallets.
Durable cam buckles
Metal buckles with a cam mechanism allow the strap tension to be adjusted and prevent the strap from working loose on its own during transport. The buckle system allows the strap to be fastened and released quickly without any additional tools.

Two straps in the set allow the securing forces to be distributed evenly and more than one item to be secured at the same time. Standard practice requires a minimum of two anchorage points for stable transport of loads.

Use and care of lashing straps
Safe load securing guidelines
Before each use, check the strap for chafing, damage to the weave and correct operation of the buckles. Route the strap through the anchorage points in a way that prevents sharp bends (minimum bend radius 50 mm). The load should be distributed evenly and the straps tensioned with a similar force. The working load of 2500 DAN must not be exceeded.
Storage and maintenance
Store the straps in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. After use in damp conditions or if the strap becomes soiled, clean it with water and a mild detergent and dry it thoroughly. Periodically check the condition of the buckles and the cam mechanism, removing any contamination that could impede operation.
