The KD1580 is an electric hydraulic log splitter designed for preparing firewood in domestic and smallholding settings. A hydraulic system operating at 20 MPa generates 5 tonnes of splitting force, making it possible to work with hard species of both hardwood and softwood.

An operating pressure of 20 MPa translates directly into 5 tonnes of splitting force. This is sufficient to split knotty oak, beech or acacia logs — species that are difficult to handle with a manual axe or weaker spring-powered log splitters.
1500 W electric motor
The 1500 W rating allows the machine to be connected to a standard 230 V mains socket without the need for upgraded electrical circuits. An operating temperature range of +5°C to +40°C means the splitter can be used throughout most of the year, including the early winter months.

A maximum cutting length of 52 cm matches the standard dimensions of logs prepared for stoves and fireplaces. The minimum diameter of 5 cm indicates that the machine is not intended for splitting very thin branches — the optimum range is logs of approx. 10 cm and above.
