A hexagonal hex key, size 8 mm, in a long-reach version, made from chrome vanadium steel. Designed for workshop, service and assembly work requiring access to deeply recessed hex socket screws.
The long shaft allows work in deep holes and hard-to-reach places where standard keys cannot reach. It also increases torque when tightening screws that require greater force.
CrV material offers increased hardness and wear resistance. Hardened tips ensure that the precise working edges are retained for a long time, minimising the risk of the tip rounding off.
The 8 mm size is one of the standard hex socket screw sizes used in mechanical work, furniture making and steel structures. Precise manufacturing ensures a full fit against the walls of the hex socket.
The key is ideal for automotive workshops when removing components fastened with hex socket screws, for equipment servicing, and for assembling furniture fitted with hex socket connectors.

The 8 mm size corresponds to the inscribed diameter of the screw's hex socket. It is most commonly used with M10-M12 cap head screws. Before use, check that the key enters the socket freely without play - too much play can damage the screw edges during tightening.
Hex keys made from chrome vanadium steel require basic maintenance to retain their working properties. After use, remove any dirt and oil residue. Storing them in a dry place prevents surface corrosion.
During use, avoid extensions that increase leverage beyond the recommended torque values - this can permanently deform the key. For seized screws, apply a penetrating fluid before attempting to undo them.
The long version has an extended shaft, which increases reach and torque. Standard hex keys have a shorter design, suitable for work in easily accessible places. The choice depends on how deeply the screw is recessed and the tightening force required.
