A 50 mm ring paint brush with a mixed natural and synthetic bristle, designed for the precise application of oil-based, emulsion, latex and varnish paints.
Combining natural bristle with synthetic filament ensures an even spread of paint without streaks. The natural bristle absorbs and releases paint in a controlled way, while the synthetic filament increases the durability and springiness of the bristle. This blend performs well with both water-based and solvent-based paints.
Lacquered beech is characterised by its hardness and resistance to moisture. The ergonomic handle shape reduces hand fatigue during long painting sessions. The lacquer protects against paint absorption and makes cleaning easier.
The galvanised sheet steel ferrule stops the bristle from spreading and shedding. Galvanising protects the metal against corrosion on contact with water-based paints. A durable ferrule-to-handle joint prevents loosening during intensive use.
The 50 mm width strikes a balance between coverage and precision. A brush of this size is suitable for painting trim, frames and radiators, as well as smaller surfaces that require accuracy. It also allows work in hard-to-reach places.

Before using the brush for the first time, gently comb through the bristle with your fingers and remove any loose filaments. With water-based paints it is worth slightly dampening the bristle with water, which makes the paint easier to pick up. With oil-based paints a small amount of solvent can be used.
Wash water-based paints out with warm water and soap, and oil-based paints with a solvent dedicated to the type of paint used. Rinse the bristle until the water or solvent runs clear. Once dry, store the brush hanging or lying flat, without resting the bristle against a surface.
During short breaks the brush can be wrapped in cling film or placed in a sealed bag, which prevents the paint from drying on the bristle. For longer breaks the brush must be washed thoroughly.
