For concrete walls, use the hanging hole to hang the tool on a previously driven nail. After each use, allow the line to retract automatically; do not pull sharply on the weight.
Tool maintenance
Regularly check the condition of the line for wear and damage. Protect the retraction mechanism from building site contamination – if necessary, wipe the housing clean with a dry cloth. Keep the magnet clean, removing metal swarf that could weaken its holding force. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion of metal parts.
