VOREL 04490 magnetic tile catches are a mounting solution designed to secure access tiles without the use of tools. The neodymium magnet system allows tiles covering inspection openings in bathrooms, kitchens and other rooms to be removed and refitted repeatedly.
Technical features of the magnetic tile catches
Neodymium magnets
Neodymium magnets (NdFeB) offer the highest holding force of any permanent magnet available. They provide secure fixing of tiles even in the high humidity typical of bathrooms. They do not lose their magnetic properties under normal operating conditions.
Galvanised steel plate
Electro-galvanising creates a protective layer that guards the steel against corrosion. The zinc coating protects the surface from moisture and condensation, which extends the service life of the catches in a bathroom environment.
Plastic magnet housing
The plastic housing separates the magnet from the ceramic tile surface, eliminating the risk of scratching during fitting and removal. The plastic also dampens noise when the access tile is closed.
Fitting without drilling

Use and maintenance
Preparing surfaces before mounting

Checking the holding force

The magnetic surfaces should be cleaned periodically to remove metal debris and dust. A build-up of contamination can reduce the attraction force. A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning; abrasive products that could damage the housing should be avoided.
