A magnetic fixture for precise positioning of metal components during welding and assembly. It allows the material to be set at the three most commonly used working angles.
A parameter defining the maximum weight of a component that the angle will hold in a stable position. The value of 34.5 kg corresponds to typical steel sections, sheet up to 8 mm thick and tubular structures used in welding workshops.
Positioning at 45°, 90° and 135° eliminates the need for additional fixtures. The 90° angle is used for basic square joints, 45° for mitres and corners, and 135° for open-frame structures.
A permanent neodymium magnet works without a power supply. Magnetic attraction engages immediately on contact with a ferromagnetic surface, allowing rapid positioning without mechanical clamps.
The sheet steel cover protects the magnet from mechanical damage during workshop use. The design also reinforces the structure of the angle and shields it from welding spatter.

The angle works only with ferromagnetic materials (carbon steel, structural steel). It will not hold aluminium, copper, austenitic stainless steel or plastics. Before use, check that the magnet attracts the material in question.
Before first use, clean the working faces of the angle to remove any transport protection. During use, the surface of the material and of the angle should be free from metal debris, rust and paint — a foreign layer reduces the magnetic holding force.
After each use, remove welding spatter and metal dust with a wire brush. The magnet requires no maintenance, but the steel housing can be protected against corrosion with a thin layer of machine oil, particularly in damp conditions.
Store the angle away from electronic devices and measuring tools that are sensitive to magnetic fields. Do not strike the magnet with a hammer or drop it from a height — strong impacts can weaken its magnetic properties.
The 34.5 kg holding capacity refers to optimum conditions — a smooth surface and full magnetic contact. On uneven or curved surfaces the actual holding force will be lower. Take care when welding components less than 3 mm thick, as thin sheet can distort.
