Metal Cutting Bandsaw KD1733 — 700 W
The KD1733 bandsaw is a workshop machine designed for cutting steel profiles, channels, tubes and solid stock. The cast iron body and new-generation hydraulic cylinder ensure stable operation for repeatable straight and mitre cuts in the 0–45° range.
Machine features
Cast iron body and frame
The cast iron casting absorbs vibration that would otherwise be transmitted to the workpiece, which translates directly into cut quality and repeatability. The 56 kg net weight keeps the machine stable during operation without the need to bolt it to the floor.
Three blade speeds
Speeds of 23, 34 and 55 m/min let you match the cutting parameters to the material — slower feed rates are used for alloy steels and hard profiles, faster ones for aluminium and soft materials.
Hydraulic downfeed
A new-generation hydraulic cylinder controls the rate at which the blade arm descends. Controlled downfeed reduces the risk of blade breakage and extends blade life, particularly when cutting hollow sections.
Swivelling vice with length stop
The quick-release vice swivels through the 0–45° range, allowing mitre cuts without repositioning the workpiece. The length stop speeds up repeat work when cutting parts to the same length.
Ball-bearing blade guides
The guides are fitted with bearings that hold the blade in the cutting plane and reduce side deflection. This is critical when cutting thick profiles, where the side loads are greatest.
Belt drive access and mobility
Easy access to the belt drive compartment makes it straightforward to replace the drive belt and adjust its tension without removing the casing. A folding transport handle lets one person move the machine.

The S1 rating on the motor power indicates continuous duty without cooling breaks. The KD1733 motor can run for the full duration of an operation without a forced pause, which matters for long production runs in manufacturing and metalworking environments.

Operation and maintenance
Before first use, check the blade tension and level the machine. The blade should be replaced when cracks are visible in the teeth or when cut quality clearly deteriorates. Regularly lubricating the guides and checking the tension of the drive belt will extend the life of the drive mechanism.
The choice of blade depends on the material being cut: for carbon steel, bi-metal blades with 6–10 TPI teeth are recommended, while 4–6 TPI suits aluminium and soft metals. The manufacturer does not supply a blade with the machine — it must be selected to match the dimensions of the machine's blade guides.
