An abrasive disc designed for cutting structural steel, sections, pipes and sheet metal. Aluminium oxide abrasive grains bonded with synthetic resin deliver efficient cutting of steel materials in workshop and construction conditions.
Aluminium oxide is characterised by its hardness and wear resistance, which translates into efficient cutting of carbon and structural steel. This material keeps the grains sharp for longer, reducing how often the disc needs to be replaced.
The synthetic resin bonds the abrasive grains into a stable structure, giving the disc suitable flexibility during use. This bond allows safe cutting at the high speeds typical of stationary cut-off saws.
A fibreglass mesh built into the disc structure increases its mechanical strength and resistance to cracking. This reinforcement is a safety standard for cutting discs working under heavy loads.
Disc thickness determines the width of the cut and affects working speed. A 4 mm disc is a compromise between cutting stability and efficiency – it removes more material than thinner discs, but provides sufficient rigidity when cutting thicker components.

A disc with a 400 mm diameter and 32 mm bore is intended for stationary cut-off saws and circular saws. Before fitting, check the maximum disc diameter permitted by the tool manufacturer and that the bore diameter matches. The disc's maximum speed must be higher than the spindle speed of the machine.
Before starting work, check the disc for cracks, chips and other mechanical damage. The disc should be fitted in line with the direction of rotation marked on its surface. Apply appropriate pressure when cutting – excessive load can lead to overheating and premature wear of the disc.
The disc requires no special maintenance, but it should be stored in a dry place, protected from moisture and mechanical damage. After finishing work, it is worth removing any metal swarf left on the disc. A worn disc should be replaced when its diameter has decreased significantly or when visible structural damage appears.
When cutting metal components, wear safety goggles, abrasion-resistant gloves and work clothing. The work area should be protected against flying sparks. Do not use the disc on materials other than metal – cutting wood, plastic or mineral materials may damage the disc and create a safety hazard.
