A tool designed for the mechanical crimping of metal profiles used in dry lining structures, ventilation system installation and sheet metal work. The 04300 model produces permanent joints without the need for screws or rivets.
The jaw material is made from manganese steel with increased hardness and wear resistance. The manganese content provides flexibility alongside mechanical strength, which minimises the risk of cracking when working with maximum-thickness materials.
The crimping tool works with profiles from 0.5 to 0.8 mm thick, which corresponds to the standard CD, UD, CW and UW profiles used in dry lining systems. This parameter determines the scope of applications - thicker profiles require tools with greater clamping force.
The length of the tool influences the pressing force through leverage - 280 mm strikes a balance between clamping power and control precision. This dimension allows one-handed operation while maintaining sufficient force to join profiles.
Contoured grips covered in non-slip micro-rubber increase friction between the hand and the tool, which reduces the effort needed to maintain a secure hold during crimping. This is particularly important when the crimping operation is repeated many times.

Before starting work, measure the thickness of the profile with a calliper or micrometer. Standard CD/UD profiles are 0.6 mm thick, CW/UW - 0.5-0.6 mm. Reinforced profiles may exceed 0.8 mm and require tools with greater clamping force. The crimping tool manufacturer specifies the maximum thickness of the material to be joined, and exceeding this may result in damage to the tool.
During work, the crimping tool should be positioned perpendicular to the edge of the profiles being joined, ensuring the jaws fully grip the material. The clamping force should be even - pressing too abruptly may deform the profile. After each working day, the jaws should be cleaned of dust and metal debris with a wire brush.
The pivot mechanism requires periodic lubrication with machine oil - particularly during intensive use of more than 50 joints per day. Joining materials thicker than 0.8 mm should be avoided, as this may lead to permanent deformation of the jaws or damage to the pivot mechanism.
The tool should be stored in dry conditions, ideally in a tool box. The crimping tool is not designed for cutting materials - using it for this purpose shortens the life of the blades and may damage the geometry of the jaws.
