Technical features
Silicon carbide blade
The triangular cutting plate is made from silicon carbide, which offers extreme hardness (9.5 on the Mohs scale) and outstanding wear resistance. This material stays sharp far longer than conventional tool steels, which translates into greater productivity when removing old coatings.
Reversible cutting edges
The blade mounting system lets you rotate the plate and use all three cutting edges. Once one edge is worn, the blade can be turned to the next, which extends tool life and reduces running costs.
Ergonomic handle
The handle is made from soft plastic, providing a secure grip and reducing hand fatigue during prolonged work. The overall length of 240 mm allows the tool to be guided comfortably with adequate pressure applied to the surface.
Die-cast body

Use and maintenance
Working technique
The scraper should be held at an angle of 30–45 degrees to the surface and pressed evenly. The cutting stroke is made by pulling the tool towards the user. For thicker layers of coating, several passes with moderate pressure are recommended rather than a single pass with heavy force.
Replacing the blade
Once the cutting edge becomes blunt, loosen the retaining screw, rotate the plate by 120 degrees and tighten it again. The triangular plate offers three independent cutting edges. Once all the edges are worn, the plate can be replaced with a new one.
Safety precautions
Protective gloves and goggles should be worn while working. Silicon carbide is a hard material and can cause fragments of the removed material to fly off. The scraper must not be used to remove coatings containing asbestos or lead without suitable personal protective equipment.
