A metal tool box designed for storing and transporting hand tools. The steel sheet construction with fold-out side trays provides access to the contents without having to empty the main compartment.
Features of the YATO tool box
0.6 mm steel sheet construction
A wall thickness of 0.6 mm gives the box rigidity while keeping its overall weight moderate. This sheet thickness protects the contents from impacts during transport, while still allowing a full box to be carried without excessive strain.
Fold-out side trays
Two trays that open out to the sides allow small parts and tools to be kept apart. Once the box is open they give immediate access to frequently used items without having to search the main compartment, which speeds up work.
Lockable closure system

Use and maintenance
Opening and folding the trays
Before releasing the latches, make sure the box is standing on a stable surface. The side trays open automatically when the lid is raised – control this movement to prevent small items from falling out. Before closing, fold the trays inwards and check that nothing is blocking the lid.
Cleaning and corrosion protection
Remove dirt with a damp cloth, avoiding strong solvents that may damage the paint. After contact with moisture, dry the box, particularly around the joints and hinges. Check the condition of the coating from time to time – small damaged areas can be protected with anti-corrosion paint.
Load distribution
Place heavier tools in the main compartment and lighter, smaller items in the side trays. Distributing the load in this way keeps the box stable in transit and prevents the trays from distorting. Do not exceed the maximum load – excessive weight can damage the hinges and the handle.
