KD1917 Microprocessor Battery Charger – 6/12V, 15A, 6–200 Ah Batteries
The KD1917 is a microprocessor battery charger for charging lead-acid batteries of all common types. It runs an automatic 8-stage charging process, adjusting its operating parameters to the condition and capacity of the connected battery. It handles both 6V and 12V, and the maximum charging current is 15A.

8-stage charging process
The automatic charging algorithm splits the process into successive stages — from desulphation through the main charge to maintenance. This means the battery is never overloaded, and each stage lasts as long as the current condition of the cells requires. The result is longer battery life compared with simple single- or two-stage chargers.
Four operating modes
The unit operates in the following modes: Constant Voltage (used in the final charging stage), Constant Current (main charging stage), Trickle Charge Modulation (maintenance charging with direct current) and Floating Charge Modulation (charging with alternating current). The display indicates the active mode at all times.
Wide battery type compatibility
The charger supports WET (flooded with electrolyte), MF (maintenance-free), CA (calcium), EFB (enhanced flooded battery — used in cars with Start-Stop systems), GEL and AGM batteries. Before connecting, make sure the battery's nominal voltage is 6V or 12V.
Protections and efficiency
The microprocessor circuit monitors temperature, connection status and charging parameters. In the event of a short circuit, reverse polarity or overheating, the charger cuts out automatically. Energy efficiency of 98% means minimal power consumption by the unit itself during charging. An IP20 rating indicates protection against touching live parts — the unit is intended for indoor use.

How to check battery compatibility
The KD1917 supports batteries with a nominal voltage of 6V or 12V and a capacity of 6 to 200 Ah. The battery type (WET, AGM, GEL, etc.) is usually stated on the cell label. For EFB and AGM batteries used in vehicles with Start-Stop systems, make sure the charger supports these technologies — the KD1917 is compatible with them. The unit is not suitable for charging lithium-ion batteries (Li-Ion, LiFePO4).
