A mixing bowl for building compounds made from flexible TPE thermoplastic elastomer. Designed for preparing plaster, skim coat, mortar and other finishing materials in small working batches.
TPE combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It makes the sides flexible, which makes set compound easier to remove, and protects the bowl against cracking if it is dropped. The material does not react with most building compounds and does not absorb moisture.
The capacity is suited to preparing individual batches of material for local repairs, filling joints and small finishing jobs. It helps avoid wasting rapid-setting compounds, which have to be used within a short time.
The 130 mm diameter provides stability during mixing and allows a filling knife or mixing paddle to be moved freely. The 83 mm height allows mixing without splashing while keeping the bowl compact.
The smooth TPE surface has no pores in which residue could collect. The flexibility of the material allows set compound to be worked out by deforming the sides. The bowl can be washed with water with no risk of corrosion or swelling.

A capacity of 0.5 litre corresponds to preparing roughly 0.8–1 kg of patching plaster (depending on the mixing ratio). This is enough to fill 3–5 m² of surface with a 1–2 mm thick layer, or to fill a dozen or so small holes.
After finishing work, clean the bowl with water before the compound sets. Set contents can be removed by squeezing the flexible sides or by breaking them out mechanically once fully dry. The use of sharp metal tools, which may damage the TPE surface, is not recommended.
TPE thermoplastic elastomer is resistant to temperatures from -20°C to +80°C, which means the bowl can be stored in unheated rooms. The material does not degrade under UV radiation and retains its mechanical properties throughout its service life.
Before first use, rinse the bowl with water to remove any contamination from the manufacturing process. The bowl can be used repeatedly with different types of building compound – TPE is chemically inert to most binders used in construction.
