A shank-mounted flap wheel with P60 grit abrasive cloth, designed for working on metals, wood and plastics. The tool is compatible with drills and die grinders fitted with a chuck for a 6 mm shank.
The P60 grit (250 µm) ensures fast material removal during initial processing. Used for deburring, removing rust and paint, and smoothing out heavy unevenness before moving on to finer grits.
The abrasive cloth flaps are mounted radially on the steel shank, which provides flexibility during work and even wear of the working surface. This construction extends the life of the tool compared with solid abrasive wheels.
A 6 mm shank diameter is the standard for hand-held power tools. The wheel is compatible with drills, die grinders and mini grinders fitted with a collet chuck or quick-release chuck of this size.
The 50 mm diameter and 30 mm height allow you to work on medium-sized surfaces and reach awkward areas where larger tools will not fit. A useful format for detail work and in confined spaces.

For 50 mm flap wheels, the recommended speed is 8,000-12,000 rpm. Too high a speed can overheat the material and wear the grit more quickly. Too low – leads to inefficient work. Check the speed control options on your power tool before starting work.
Before fitting the wheel, make sure the shank is clean and free from signs of wear. Mount the tool in the chuck of the drill or grinder, tightening the collet as instructed by the power tool manufacturer.
During work, maintain steady, moderate pressure – pressing too hard shortens the life of the wheel and reduces the quality of the finish. Move the tool evenly, avoiding prolonged contact with a single point, which can cause overheating.
When you have finished, clean dust from the wheel with compressed air or a brush. Store in a dry place, away from sources of moisture that can weaken the bond of the abrasive cloth. Check the condition of the flaps regularly – if they are excessively worn or damaged, replace the wheel with a new one.
When sanding, wear safety goggles, a dust mask and work gloves. Make sure the workpiece is securely clamped. Do not exceed the maximum speed recommended for the wheel. Avoid working near flammable materials – sparks can pose a fire hazard.
