Ring magnets made from a neodymium-iron-boron alloy (NdFeB) in a cylindrical format with a central countersunk hole. Designed for permanent mounting with screws or countersunk head screws, with no need for additional brackets or adhesive. The pack contains 10 pieces.
The 4 mm hole has a countersink matched to a countersunk screw head (countersink diameter 8 mm). This means the screw head sits inside the magnet and does not protrude above its surface — important wherever a component has to sit flat against the mounting surface.
Magnetisation runs through the height of the magnet, which means one pole (N) is on the top face and the other (S) on the bottom face. Both surfaces are magnetically active, so the magnet will attract from either side.
Neodymium alloy is prone to oxidation, so the magnets are given a layer of nickel plating (Ni-Cu-Ni). The coating protects the core against moisture and mechanical damage, extending the life of the component in service.
The ratio of magnetic strength to size in neodymium magnets is far higher than in ferrite magnets. The 14x3 mm format provides secure holding in places where a larger magnet or a mechanical fastener would not fit.

Ring magnets with a countersunk hole are ideal wherever a permanent, removable fixing with a screw is required and there is no need to drill additional holes for a bracket. Typical applications:
The bore is 4 mm in diameter, which corresponds to an M4 screw. The 8 mm countersink is sized for countersunk heads (hex socket countersunk head screws to DIN 7991 / ISO 10642). Before assembly, make sure the depth of the countersink in the magnet matches the height of the screw head you are using — a screw that is too long, or a countersink angle that does not match, may prevent the head from sitting fully flush.
Neodymium magnets are mechanically brittle — an impact or a drop can cause chipping or cracking. Do not allow two magnets to snap together suddenly. Store magnets away from magnetic cards, watches, pacemakers and data media sensitive to magnetic fields. The maximum operating temperature of NdFeB alloys is usually 80°C (unless a specific temperature grade is stated).
