An offset ring spanner made from chrome vanadium steel with a bi-hex profile and the AS-Drive system. The offset design allows work in confined assembly spaces where access to fasteners is restricted.
A material known for its high hardness and resistance to abrasion. The chromium and vanadium alloy increases the mechanical strength of the tool and its resistance to deformation under load.
An internal profile that transfers torque to the flat faces of the nut rather than to its corners. This reduces the risk of damaging the edges of the fastener and allows work on partially worn nuts.
The angle of the spanner head relative to the shaft increases freedom of movement in places with limited access. This design is particularly useful when working in deep assembly recesses and on components shielded by other parts.
A bi-hex profile requires 30 degrees of rotation to the next engagement point, which is useful in places with a limited range of movement. It allows work in situations where a full turn of the tool is not possible.

Spanner sizes of 8 mm and 9 mm correspond to the across-flats dimension of a nut or bolt head. Before buying, measure the distance between the parallel flat faces of the fastener. A double-ended spanner allows work with the two closest sizes using a single tool.
The offset ring spanner should be matched to the size of the fastener in accordance with the marking. Using a spanner of the wrong size damages the corners of the nut and may deform the tool.
The chrome plated surface provides protection against corrosion, but after work in a damp environment or with chemicals the tool should be wiped dry. Storing it in a dry place extends the life of the protective coating.
When working with heavily tightened or seized components, the lever arm can be extended by fitting an extension tube over the spanner shaft. However, excessive load should be avoided, as it may exceed the strength of the material.
