Oil-Lubricated Air Compressor 50L 3.5kW – KRAFT&DELE KD4049

The KD4049 is a single-stage oil-lubricated compressor running on a 230V mains supply, intended for workshop, garage and home use where a constant supply of compressed air is needed. The single-stage oil-lubricated pump with a 50 L horizontal tank runs at a maximum pressure of 8 bar, which is enough to power a wide range of air tools.

Motor power3.5 kW / 4.7 hp
Tank capacity50 L
Air delivery380 L/min
Max. pressure8 bar

Key features

3.5 kW Motor, 230V Supply

A power output of 3.5 kW (4.7 hp) from a single-phase 230V/50Hz supply means the compressor does not need a three-phase installation — a standard socket with suitable circuit protection is all that is required. The rotational speed of 2880 rpm translates into an air delivery of 380 L/min, which allows continuous operation of air tools with moderate air consumption (grinders, spray guns, impact wrenches).

50 L Tank and 8 Bar Pressure

The 50 L tank acts as an air buffer — the larger it is, the less often the motor has to cut in, which reduces wear and lowers noise during intermittent operation. The maximum working pressure of 8 bar is enough to power most workshop-grade air tools, which typically require 4–6 bar. The pressure regulator lets you match the output precisely to the tool in use.

Two Pressure Gauges and Pressure Regulator

The twin gauge setup allows you to read the tank pressure and the working pressure at the regulator outlet at the same time. This means you can keep an eye on how full the tank is and on the pressure being supplied to the tool — without having to interrupt the job.

Mobility and Everyday Handling

Large transport wheels and an ergonomic handle make the unit easy to move around a workshop or garage without having to lift it. The drain valve allows condensate to be drained from the tank regularly — an essential task for preventing corrosion and keeping the unit in good working order. Inspection plugs provide access to the inside of the tank during servicing.

Note on electrical protection

With a current draw of 13.6 A, the unit requires an electrical circuit protected by a fuse rated at least 16 A. Check the electrical installation at the point of use before connecting the compressor.

Typical applications

  • Powering impact wrenches and air screwdrivers
  • Spray guns and paint spraying
  • Air grinders and oscillating saws
  • Blowing out components and cleaning with compressed air
  • Inflating car, motorcycle and bicycle tyres
  • Powering sealant guns (silicone, foam)
  • Woodworking with nail guns and air staplers
  • Sandblasting metal surfaces (with suitable additional equipment)

Use and maintenance

An oil-lubricated compressor needs its oil level checked in the pump before every start-up — running with no oil or too little oil will permanently damage the piston and cylinder. The manufacturer recommends changing the oil after the first 50 hours of operation, then every 200–300 hours or once a season.

Condensate (water that collects in the tank) should be drained regularly through the drain valve — ideally after every longer working session. Neglecting this speeds up corrosion inside the tank and can weaken its pressure resistance.

The air filter on the pump inlet should be cleaned every few weeks of intensive use — a clogged filter increases suction resistance, reduces output and causes the motor to overheat.
