Double open-ended spanner with a satin finish, designed for 16 mm and 17 mm nuts and bolts. Made from chrome vanadium steel, it offers durability and corrosion resistance in workshop conditions.
A material with enhanced mechanical strength and wear resistance. The chromium and vanadium alloy increases the hardness of the tool, which translates into a longer service life under intensive use. It prevents the jaws from deforming when tightening high-torque joints.
The matt, smooth finish makes the tool easy to keep clean and provides an additional protective layer against corrosion. A satin surface is less prone to scratching than a polished one, retaining an attractive appearance over a longer period of use.
Manufacturing tolerances ensure a precise fit on bolt heads and nuts. This minimises play that could otherwise round off the edges of fasteners. The precisely machined jaws allow effective work even with partially damaged nuts.
Two popular sizes in one tool increase functionality and reduce the number of spanners needed in a set. The 16 mm and 17 mm sizes are standard in many mechanical applications, from automotive work to plumbing.

The size of an open-ended spanner corresponds to the width across the flats of the nut or bolt head, measured between opposite edges. Before use, make sure the spanner sits exactly on all edges of the nut without play. Play can damage the fastener or the tool. If in doubt, use a vernier calliper to measure the actual size of the nut.
Open-ended spanners should be used for their intended purpose – solely for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts. Avoid using extension bars on the handle, which can exceed the permissible torque and damage the tool. Do not use the spanner as a lever, a hammer or an impact tool.
After use, wipe the spanner with a clean cloth to remove dirt and moisture. Tools stored in damp conditions should be protected periodically with a thin film of protective oil. Regular maintenance extends the life of the tool and preserves the accuracy of the jaw dimensions.
When working with heavily soiled or corroded fasteners, apply a penetrating oil beforehand to make undoing easier and reduce the risk of damaging the nut or the spanner.
