A mixing paddle for paints and building compounds, made from galvanised steel with a 1/4" hex shank. The 60 mm diameter, 400 mm long design is intended for use with drills and power mixers.
Features of the VOREL paint mixing paddle
Galvanised steel
The construction material provides corrosion resistance when working with water-based and chemical materials. The galvanised coating protects the steel rods from rust, extending the tool's service life under regular contact with paints, adhesives and building compounds.
60 mm diameter
The working dimension is suited to mixing in standard-sized containers – 5-15 litre buckets. The 60 mm diameter ensures effective mixing without excessive splashing of the material at the appropriate drill speed.
400 mm length
The total length allows work with deeper containers and keeps a suitable distance from the material being mixed. The 400 mm dimension enables mixing in standard building buckets without having to lean excessively over the container.
1/4" hex shank
The standard 1/4-inch hex shank fits most hammer drills and building mixers. The hexagonal shape prevents the paddle from rotating in the chuck during use, ensuring stable torque transfer.

Tool compatibility
The paddle works with hammer drills, combi drills and dedicated building mixers fitted with a 1/4" hex shank or an adapter for this standard. Recommended operating speed: 400-600 rpm for paints, 300-500 rpm for thick compounds.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the paddle is correctly secured in the drill chuck – any play can lead to uneven mixing and damage to the tool. During work, immerse the paddle in the material before switching on the drill to avoid splashing.
After finishing work, the paddle must be cleaned before the material dries. Paints and adhesives are washed off with water and detergent, while building compounds are removed mechanically or by soaking. Leaving dried material on the rods reduces mixing efficiency and can lead to corrosion despite the galvanised coating.
Storing in a dry place extends the life of the galvanised coating. Regularly checking the condition of the rods helps detect any mechanical damage or corrosion spots that could affect mixing quality.
