The KD5220 is a backpack mist blower powered by a 2.13 kW two-stroke petrol engine, designed for chemical crop protection, foliar feeding and dusting in areas with no access to mains electricity. A 20-litre tank and a horizontal range of over 12 m allow work to continue across large areas with fewer interruptions to refill the spray solution.

Petrol engine with recoil starter
The engine runs on a 30:1 mixture of unleaded petrol and two-stroke oil, reaching a fan speed of 7,500–8,000 rpm. The recoil starter allows the unit to be started without an external power source — it is therefore suitable for work in areas with no electrical infrastructure, on remote plots, slopes and in orchards.
Droplet diameter below 120 microns
Fine droplets of the spray solution adhere better to leaf surfaces and penetrate dense vegetation more effectively than larger droplets. A finer spray gives more even coverage of the treated area and reduces product consumption while maintaining the efficacy of the treatment.
Adjustable jet and air blast
The ability to adjust the flow rate and direction of the jet allows work with both low-growing crops and taller plants. Adjustment reduces the risk of spray drift in windy conditions and allows the spray to be aimed precisely at the selected part of the vegetation without wasting product.
Backpack design, 12 kg weight
The carrying harness distributes the weight of the unit across the operator's back and shoulders, which reduces fatigue during longer periods of work. The 12 kg weight (without spray solution) is typical for equipment in this class — before use, the weight of a full tank (up to approx. 32 kg in total) must be taken into account and the operator's physical capability assessed.

Use and maintenance
Fuel preparation
The engine requires a 30:1 mixture of unleaded petrol and two-stroke engine oil (1 litre of oil to 30 litres of petrol). Using an incorrect ratio or neat petrol will damage the engine. Measure the components separately, then mix them thoroughly before pouring the mixture into the fuel tank.
Cleaning after use
After each use, rinse the spray tank with clean water to remove any chemical residues. Leaving plant protection products in the tank and lines for extended periods can lead to corrosion or degradation of the seals. Before seasonal storage, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until any remaining mixture has been drawn out of the carburettor.
Safety
Personal protective equipment and usage restrictions
When spraying plant protection products, chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles or a face shield, and protective clothing are required. Petrol-powered equipment emits exhaust fumes — operating it in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces is not permitted. The unit must be started and operated in accordance with the instructions supplied with the kit.
