A YATO petrol chainsaw designed for cutting wood, pruning branches and garden work. Fitted with a 1.8 HP petrol engine with the Easy Start system and automatic chain lubrication.
The 1.8-horsepower two-stroke petrol engine provides sufficient performance for cutting hard and soft wood. This output translates into chain speed and the ability to cut through thicker branches without overloading the engine. Compliance with the EURO 2 emission standard limits the amount of pollutants released.
The starting aid reduces the force needed to pull the recoil cord. The system uses an additional spring that stores energy during the pull and releases it rapidly, speeding up the rotation of the crankshaft. This reduces the physical effort required to start the saw, particularly at low temperatures.
An oil pump supplies oil to lubricate the chain and guide bar during operation, with no need for manual intervention. Continuous lubrication reduces friction between components, which extends the life of the chain and guide bar and lowers energy consumption. The system requires periodic topping up of chain oil in the dedicated tank.
Vibration-damping mounts positioned between the engine and the handles absorb the vibrations generated during operation. Reducing the vibration transmitted to the user's hands lowers fatigue and discomfort during longer working sessions. This improves cutting precision and the comfort of handling the tool.

Two-stroke engines require a mix of unleaded petrol and two-stroke oil. The typical ratio is 1:50 (20 ml of oil per 1 litre of petrol) or 1:40, depending on the oil manufacturer's specification. Always prepare a fresh mix and do not store it for longer than 30 days, as petrol loses its properties.
Before starting work, check the chain tension – a correctly tensioned chain sits snugly against the guide bar but can still be moved by hand. A chain that is too loose may jump off the guide bar, while one that is too tight causes excessive wear and overloads the engine.
Check the chain oil level before every start-up. Running a dry chain quickly wears out the guide bar and chain. The fuel priming system makes filling the tank easier – press the fuel primer bulb several times before unscrewing the cap.
After finishing work, clean the saw of sawdust and debris, especially around the engine's cooling vents. The air filter requires regular cleaning or replacement in accordance with the instruction manual. The sharpness of the chain affects cutting efficiency – a blunt chain needs sharpening with a round file or replacing with a new one.
