Petrol chainsaw with a 55 cm³ two-stroke engine delivering 2.3 kW. The kit includes a 20-inch guide bar, a chain and a starter, so you can get straight to work once the fuel mix has been topped up.
A displacement of 55 cm³ with 2.3 kW of power provides enough strength to cut medium and larger diameter timber. The air-cooled engine runs on a 1:25 fuel mix (petrol to two-stroke oil), which works out at 40 ml of oil per 1 litre of petrol.
A 20-inch (50 cm) guide bar lets you cut trunks up to around 45 cm in diameter in a single pass. The 1.5 mm (0.58") groove width determines the chain type – only chains with drive links of the same width should be used.
A 76-link chain with a .325" pitch strikes a balance between cutting speed and durability. A .325" pitch means a distance of 8.25 mm between three consecutive rivets. When replacing the chain, the same parameters must be kept: 76 links, .325" pitch, 1.5 mm width.
The damping mechanism reduces the transfer of vibration from the engine and chain to the handles. This lessens hand fatigue during longer jobs and improves cutting precision, which matters for work that demands accuracy.

The two-stroke engine requires a mix of unleaded petrol and two-stroke oil at a ratio of 1:25. Add 40 ml of oil to every 1 litre of petrol. Mix in a separate container before filling the tank. Never run on neat petrol – doing so will seize the engine.
Check the chain tension before every use – it should sit snugly against the guide bar but still be movable by hand. Top up the chain oil tank regularly – it is used up in proportion to the fuel. A blunt chain needs sharpening with a round file of a diameter suited to the .325" pitch.
The mesh air filter needs regular cleaning – a blocked filter restricts power and increases fuel consumption. The L7T spark plug should be checked every 25 hours of operation and replaced as recommended by the manufacturer. The correct electrode gap is typically 0.6-0.7 mm.
