GEKO G81055 Petrol Earth Auger with 25 cm Auger Bit
Earth auger driven by a 42.7 cm³ two-stroke engine. The set includes a 25 cm diameter, 80 cm long auger bit designed for ground works in gardening and construction.
Technical features
42.7 cm³ two-stroke engine
The 1.25 kW power unit delivers sufficient torque for drilling in compact soils. Air cooling removes the need for a liquid cooling system, which simplifies the design and reduces the weight of the unit.
CDI ignition system
The electronic CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) system ensures reliable starting across a range of temperatures. The L7T spark plug is a standard service part available from most parts retailers.
25×80 cm steel auger bit
The 25 cm diameter matches typical requirements for installing fence posts and tree saplings. The 80 cm working length allows holes of up to 70-75 cm deep to be drilled, which is sufficient for most gardening applications.
Rotational speed of 200-230 rpm
The low working speed increases torque and prevents the auger bit from jamming in hard ground. This speed makes the unit easier to control and reduces the risk of damaging roots or buried cables.

Operation and maintenance
Preparing the fuel mixture
The engine requires a mixture of 95 octane unleaded petrol and two-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 1:25. This means 40 ml of oil per 1 litre of petrol. The mixture should be prepared in a separate canister and mixed thoroughly before filling the tank. Do not store the mixture for longer than 30 days.
Gearbox servicing
The drive gearbox requires SAE 80-90 gear oil. The oil level should be checked every 20-25 hours of operation. The oil in the gearbox is changed after the first 10 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or once a season.
Safety at work
The unit is fitted with a cut-off system that stops the engine if control is lost. During operation, maintain a stable stance, hold the auger with both hands and keep a safe distance from buried cables. Before starting to drill, it is worth checking the location of underground services.
