Single-phase petrol generator with a 3hp 4-stroke OHV engine. The unit produces both 230V AC and 12V DC, making it suitable for powering electrical equipment and charging batteries alike. Designed for use in locations without access to the mains.

4-stroke OHV engine with chrome-plated piston
The Japanese-designed OHV (Over Head Valve) engine with a chrome-plated piston uses less oil and fuel than 2-stroke units. The chrome plating increases resistance to wear, which translates into a longer engine life with regular use.
Dual 230V output and 12V DC output
The generator has two 230V/50Hz sockets for powering electrical equipment and one 12V DC output with supplied leads for charging batteries. The 12V output allows you to maintain or charge a car battery or another lead-acid battery.
Vibration damping
The engine is mounted on rubber anti-vibration mounts that reduce the transfer of vibration to the unit's frame and the ground. This solution lowers the noise level during operation and limits the vibration felt by the user operating the generator.
Voltmeter and fuel gauge
The built-in voltmeter lets you monitor the output voltage on an ongoing basis, which is important when powering equipment that is sensitive to voltage fluctuations. The fuel gauge shows how much petrol is in the tank without having to open the filler cap.
Peak output vs continuous output — the practical difference
Peak output (1500W) is a momentary value that the generator can reach for a short period — for example when starting an electric motor. Continuous output (1300W) is the value at which the unit can run without interruption. When matching a generator to specific appliances, always go by the continuous output, not the peak output.

How to match a generator to your appliances — a practical tip
Before buying, add up the power of all the appliances that are to be powered at the same time. Appliances with electric motors (drills, pumps, grinders) draw 2–3 times their rated power when starting. With a continuous output of 1300W, the KD146 is suitable for powering, for example, a single 700W drill, work lighting or small power tools — it is not intended to power several high-draw appliances at once.
Use and maintenance
The generator requires 95 octane unleaded petrol — do not use fuel with an ethanol content above 10% (E10). Before first start-up, check the engine oil level as described in the instruction manual. A 4-stroke engine requires regular oil changes — the recommended interval is given in the unit's documentation.
The generator must only be used outdoors or in well-ventilated areas — a combustion engine emits carbon monoxide. The 5-litre fuel tank provides several hours of operation under a typical load, but the running time depends on the actual power draw of the connected appliances.
The set includes a spark plug spanner and a screwdriver for basic servicing tasks such as checking and replacing the spark plug.
