Petrol Plate Compactor 5.5 HP 65 kg — Kraft&Dele KD1180
The KD1180 is a single-direction petrol plate compactor powered by a Loncin 196cc engine producing 4.1 kW (5.5 HP). The machine is designed for compacting non-cohesive soils — sand and gravel — in roadworks, construction and landscaping. The 51 x 37 cm base plate and 12 kN centrifugal force allow effective compaction of layers up to 28 cm deep.

The single-cylinder 196cc petrol engine (95 octane petrol) delivers 4.1 kW while keeping fuel consumption low. Air cooling removes the need for cooling system maintenance and performs well in the varying conditions of a building site.
4,900 impacts/min and 12 kN of force
The high impact rate combined with 12 kN of centrifugal force delivers effective compaction of granular soils. A compaction depth of up to 28 cm allows thicker backfill layers to be worked without repeated passes.
51 x 37 cm base plate and 32 cm/s travel speed
The wide base plate shortens the time needed to compact a given area. A travel speed of 32 cm/s and an output of 450 m²/h make the machine suitable both for small garden areas and for larger building sites.
Electric low-oil sensor and easy transport
Automatic oil level monitoring protects the engine from running without lubrication. The folding handle with anti-vibration foam and the wheel kit make it easier to move the machine between work sites — important given its 65 kg weight.

Important information about accessories
A rubber paving pad must be used when working with block paving. The rubber pad model KD1182 is the dedicated accessory for the KD1180 compactor — it must be purchased separately. Compacting paving blocks without a pad may damage the surface of the material.
Use and maintenance
The KD1180 plate compactor is designed solely for compacting non-cohesive soils (sand, gravel). It is not suitable for cohesive soils (clay, silt) — reversible plate compactors or trench rammers are used for this purpose. Check the engine oil level before starting — the electric sensor indicates when it is low, but a regular manual check is recommended during intensive use.
The petrol engine requires 95 octane unleaded petrol. After each day's work, clean the base plate of any remaining soil and check the condition of the bolts securing the plate. The folding handle and transport wheel kit allow the machine to be moved without lifting it.
