Lightweight S1 PL safety shoes designed for work in environments where protection against impact, puncture and slipping is required. The construction, based on a fibreglass toe cap, a flexible aramid anti-puncture midsole and an innovative three-material sole, delivers protection while keeping the weight of the footwear down. They meet the requirements of the EN 20345 standard.
Construction features
Fibreglass toe cap
Protects the toes against impacts of up to 200 J and compression of up to 15 kN. Compared with a composite toe cap, it takes up less space in the toe area, which translates into a better fit. It does not absorb ambient temperature — it does not heat up in summer or get cold in winter, which matters during many hours of outdoor work.
Flexible aramid anti-puncture midsole
Protects the foot against penetration by sharp objects with a force of up to 1100 N. Unlike steel, aramid is flexible and does not restrict the natural flex of the forefoot when walking. An additional antistatic thread in the structure of the midsole dissipates electrostatic charges, which is important when working with materials sensitive to discharges.
Three-material sole TPU + ETPU + rubber
The outer layer of translucent TPU acts as a perimeter cushioning pad, which improves comfort in non-standard working positions. The middle layer of responsive ETPU absorbs vibrations and supports the foot across its entire surface. The slip-resistant rubber tread provides grip on surfaces covered with detergent and oily substances — confirmed by the SR rating.
Upper and fastening system
Upper made of polyester fabric with a TPU layer over the toe area. The heel counter is made of PU foam and thermoplastic PU covered with polyester fabric — a solution used in sports footwear that stabilises the heel and reduces micro-injuries during prolonged walking. The transition area between the heel counter and the forefoot is finished in microfibre synthetic leather. The semi-automatic dial lacing system allows quick and precise tension adjustment without tying laces.
Popcorn design insole
The insole with a popcorn design structure features an irregular, multi-point contact surface with the foot. This construction improves air circulation inside the shoe and reduces pressure on specific areas of the sole of the foot during prolonged use.
