A tool combining the calibration and deburring functions for multilayer PEX pipes. It prepares pipe ends for fitting press fittings, removing burrs and restoring the correct cross-section shape after cutting.
The material of the working blades offers increased resistance to wear and deformation. Hardening and polishing ensure long-lasting sharpness of the cutting edges and a smooth surface on the calibrating components, which translates into precise preparation of pipe ends.
The composite handle material combines low weight with high mechanical strength. The glass-fibre structure provides a stable grip even with repeated use, reducing hand fatigue when working on a larger number of connections.
The tool handles standard plumbing pipe sizes: 16x2mm, 20x2mm, 25x2.5mm, 26x3mm and 32x3mm. Each size corresponds to a specific pipe outside diameter and wall thickness, allowing precise matching to the specification of water and heating installations.
Calibration restores the round cross-section of the pipe after cutting, which is crucial for a leak-tight fit of the fitting. The deburrer removes internal and external burrs created during cutting, eliminating potential leak points and making it easier to push on the fittings.

A three-layer pipe consisting of an inner layer of heat-resistant polyethylene (PE-RT), a middle aluminium layer and an outer PE-RT layer. The aluminium layer provides an anti-diffusion barrier and increases the rigidity of the pipe while retaining its flexibility. Used in heating and water supply installations.
A construction similar to PE-RT/Al/PE-RT, except that the inner and outer layers are made of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX). Cross-linking increases resistance to high temperatures and pressure, making this type of pipe suitable for more demanding installations.
Before use, check that the calibrating size matches the diameter and wall thickness of the pipe. The pipe should be cut square to its axis – an angled cut makes correct calibration and fitting difficult.
During calibration, push the tool onto the pipe end with a twisting motion, applying pressure until a fully round cross-section is achieved. Deburring is performed by rotating the tool around the internal and external edge of the pipe, removing all protruding fragments of material.
After finishing work, the working components should be cleaned of material residue and protected from moisture. Regularly checking the sharpness of the cutting edges and the condition of the calibrating components helps maintain the precision of the tool.
Before starting work, check the markings on the pipe – they give the outside diameter and wall thickness (e.g. 20x2mm). These dimensions must exactly match one of the five working sizes of the calibrator. Using the wrong size may result in incorrect pipe preparation and a leaking joint.
