Use and maintenance of the pipe cutter

Before first use, check the sharpness of the blade and that the guide rollers move freely. When cutting, rotate the tool around the pipe with even pressure, gradually tightening the mechanism after each full turn. Tightening too quickly may deform the pipe or cause the material to crack.

After use, clean the cutter of swarf and debris. The blade and guide rollers should be lubricated periodically with technical grease, which extends the life of the moving parts. If the blade becomes noticeably blunt, it can be sharpened with a diamond file or replaced with a new one if the manufacturer offers spare parts.

Storing the tool in a dry place prevents corrosion of the metal parts. Keep the pressure mechanism in the released position so as not to weaken the springs or permanently deform the seals.
