An aluminium pipe wrench designed for assembling and dismantling pipe joints in water, gas and heating installations. The aluminium construction keeps the tool lightweight while maintaining sufficient jaw rigidity.
The cast aluminium body significantly reduces the weight of the tool compared with steel wrenches. The lower weight means less fatigue during long working hours, particularly when installing pipework in awkward positions.
The length of the wrench determines the maximum pipe diameter it can handle and the torque it can apply. The 320 mm model is a versatile choice for pipes up to approximately 50 mm in diameter, providing sufficient leverage without being so long that it becomes unwieldy in confined spaces.
The jaw adjustment mechanism lets you match the wrench to the pipe diameter quickly. The adjusting nut allows precise setting of the jaw pressure, which prevents damage to pipe surfaces and ensures a secure grip during use.
The toothed jaw surfaces, made from hardened steel, grip cylindrical surfaces securely. The jaw angle provides a self-tightening action as the wrench is turned, which improves efficiency when loosening seized joints.

Before starting work, check that the jaw opening matches the outside diameter of the pipe. The wrench should grip at least 60-70% of the pipe circumference to ensure a secure hold. Too small an opening may damage the pipe surface, while too large an opening will cause the tool to slip.
The adjusting mechanism requires periodic cleaning to remove dirt and light lubrication. The jaws should be protected from impacts that could chip the teeth. After working in damp conditions or in contact with chemicals, wipe the wrench dry.
The pipe wrench should be used only on pipes and cylindrical components. Do not use it as a spanner for hex nuts – this can damage both the nut and the wrench jaws. When loosening seized joints, avoid jerking movements and make sure your body is in a stable position.
