How to recognise worn piston rings
Symptoms indicating that replacement is needed include: loss of engine power, increased oil consumption, blue smoke in the exhaust, difficulty starting and low compression measured with a compression tester (below 6-7 bar for this type of engine). Replacing the rings requires removing the cylinder head and taking the piston out of the cylinder.

Fitting and use
