Replacement part for GEKO plasterboard lifters. Steel cable with a diameter of 38 mm, designed for models C02016 and C02110-18, driving the mechanism that lifts boards up to the ceiling.
The cable is a key element in transmitting movement in plasterboard lifters. It moves the board vertically from floor level up to ceiling height, typically up to 3-3.5 metres. Replacing the cable restores full functionality to a worn lifter.
Made from steel with suitable tensile strength. The braided structure provides flexibility while remaining resistant to load. The 38 mm diameter is standard for lifters of this class and guarantees compatibility with the winding mechanism.
Intended exclusively for GEKO lifters in the C02016 and C02110-18 versions. Before purchase, check the lifter model on the machine's rating plate. Fitting it to other models may not be possible due to differences in drum diameter and cable length.
Replacing the cable does not require specialist tools. After unscrewing the fixings that hold the old cable, the new one is wound onto the winding drum and secured in line with the lifter's instructions. Replacement typically takes 10-15 minutes.

Signs that replacement is needed include: visible chafing or fraying of the steel braid, difficulty winding the cable onto the drum, uneven lifting of the board, and characteristic cracking noises during operation. Checking the cable regularly prevents breakdowns while a ceiling is being installed.
Once the new cable is fitted, run several lifting and lowering cycles without a load so that the cable seats correctly on the drum. During use, check the cable every 50 operating hours or once a month under intensive use.
Avoid contact between the cable and sharp edges that could damage the steel braid. Do not exceed the maximum load specified by the lifter manufacturer – 68 kg for plasterboard as standard. Store the lifter in dry conditions to prevent corrosion of steel components.
If the cable shows signs of wear, do not delay replacement. A damaged cable can snap while a board is being lifted, which poses a risk to the operator and may damage the material being installed.
