Plastering spatula with a 1000 mm working width and a flexible 201 stainless steel blade. Designed for the precise application of skim coat, using both dry and wet methods, on wall and ceiling surfaces.
The one-metre blade width allows large surfaces to be covered efficiently in less time. It is particularly useful when skim coating long walls and ceilings, where fewer passes result in a more uniform finish with no visible joins.
A blade thickness of 0.3 mm provides the right degree of flexibility while maintaining control of the tool. The thin blade follows the unevenness of the substrate, allowing the skim coat to be spread evenly without excessive pressure, which reduces the risk of leaving marks.
The blade is made from 201 stainless steel, which is resistant to corrosion and deformation. The material retains its working properties even under intensive use with wet mixes, and does not react chemically with plaster or cement.
The ergonomically shaped PVC handle provides a stable grip when working at height and during prolonged use. The material does not slip in the hand even when wet, which increases the precision with which the tool is guided.

The dry method involves applying ready-mixed filler compounds directly to a dry substrate, typically plasterboard. The wet method requires the surface to be dampened beforehand and is used with traditional plasters and cement-based compounds. The VOREL 06005 spatula performs well with both techniques thanks to its flexible blade, which adapts to the properties of different materials.
Once work is finished, the blade should be cleaned of any remaining filler compound immediately. Plaster and cement set quickly, and once dried their residues can damage the working edge. Clean the blade with water and a scraper, avoiding harsh chemicals that may weaken the stainless steel.
The blade height of 110 mm increases the tool's capacity, allowing a larger quantity of compound to be picked up in a single pass. This reduces how often material needs to be reloaded, speeding up work on large surfaces.
The replaceable 06014 blade is a practical servicing solution. If the working edge is mechanically damaged, or loses its flexibility after intensive use, replacing the blade restores the tool's full functionality without the need to buy a new spatula.
Regularly check the working edge for bends, nicks or signs of corrosion. Even minor damage can leave streaks in freshly applied skim coat. The blade should be replaced when its flexibility decreases or permanent deformation appears.
