GEKO G81453 Submersible Dirty Water Pump
Submersible pump with a vortex impeller, designed for pumping clean and dirty water containing solid particles up to 25 mm. Fitted with an automatic float switch and thermal motor protection.
Technical features
Vortex impeller
The recessed vortex design handles solid particles up to 25 mm in diameter. This prevents larger particles from clogging the impeller and allows water with a solids content of up to 2% to be pumped.
Automatic float switch
The float switch monitors the water level and automatically switches the pump off when the level drops below the minimum operating level. This protects the motor from running dry and extends the service life of the unit.
Thermal protection
A built-in overload protection system automatically switches the pump off if the motor overheats. Once it has cooled down, the unit can be restarted.
Universal outlet connections
The pump has three outlet sizes: 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2", which allows standard garden hoses and hoses for pumping water over longer distances to be connected.

Parameter: Head
A head of 5 m means that the pump can raise water to a height of 5 metres vertically or push it through approximately 50 m horizontally (assuming minimal resistance). The actual flow rate decreases as the head increases — at maximum head the flow is close to zero.

IPX8 means full protection against prolonged immersion in water at the depth specified by the manufacturer (in this case up to 5 m). The pump can operate fully submerged without risk of damage to the electrical components.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the supply voltage matches the value stated on the rating plate. Place the pump on a flat surface at the lowest point of the area to be drained — this ensures maximum draining efficiency.
The float switch needs freedom of movement — make sure nothing obstructs its operation. When pumping from shallow water, the float can be raised manually and secured in the upper position, which allows pumping down to a lower water level.
After use, rinse the pump with clean water, especially after pumping heavily contaminated water. Regular maintenance includes checking the condition of the power cable and cleaning the inlet strainers of sediment and debris.
Do not use the pump to transfer chemically aggressive or flammable liquids, or liquids with a temperature above 35°C. The pump is not designed for continuous operation over long periods — rest intervals should be observed as specified in the manufacturer's instructions.
